CB2 Builders believes in making a difference in our community.

CB2 Builders has a commitment to the community evidenced by volunteer work and financial support of a number of organizations. Below are a few of the groups and events to which we've recently contributed time and financial support. Click on a logo to learn more about each.

San Francisco-Marin Food Bank

Giving back to the community is always a priority, and there was an especially overwhelming amount of people affected by COVID-19. With so many people getting sick, losing their jobs, and losing their homes, the need for food assistance has skyrocketed in the last couple of years. Over the 2021 holiday season, several of our employees volunteered at the San Francisco warehouse to pack food for those in need. We value and support organizations that truly transform people’s lives. Helping out at the SF-Marin Food Bank was a moving experience for our staff, and we will definitely be back.

Ocean Beach Clean-Up

Who doesn’t love a clean beach? Not only is trash unpleasant to look at, but it ends up in our oceans and is eaten by fish, zooplankton, and other aquatic life. The Golden Gate National Parks Conservatory organizes large effort beach clean-ups throughout the year, so we grabbed our CB2 vests and buckets and got involved! We had a great time doing our part to clean up the area and celebrated with pizza on the beach afterward – we cleaned up after ourselves, of course!

The Windows Project

Coordinated by International Interior Design Association‘s Northern California Chapter of the San Francisco City Center, The Windows Project dresses up vacant and occupied storefronts, revitalizing the mid-Market Street district by making artistic and bright what once was dark and blighted, inviting their audience to take a walking tour on Market from 5th street to Civic Center’s UN Plaza.

The project consists of nine windows, each inspired by a drawing created by a child at Raphael House, a shelter for families experiencing homelessness in Northern California. CB2 Builders paired with Hooks ASD to create “My Family,” using the ideas of DNA and the beehive as symbols of home and family.

LEAP: Arts in Education

LEAP's annual sand-castle building contest on San Francisco's Ocean Beach makes it possible to serve approximately 8,000 students in over 40 schools across the Bay Area with hands-on learning experiences in the arts. In last autumn's event, CB2 Builders partnered with ASD Interiors / Architecture / Graphics and Skyline Elementary School of Daly City to create a sandy masterpiece.

Marin Homeless Aid

CB2 Builders helped to sponser Marin Homeless Aidwhich hosted a fun-filled and music-packed Saturday afternoon in December with live performances from various artists at the first annual Concert Benefiting The Homeless in Marin.
